The Alyeska Ski Club is a non-profit, volunteer focused organization working with parents, families and many other youth programs to provide exciting, challenging and character building experiences for Alaskans. Serving nearly 600 athletes, The Alyeska Ski Club offers both competitive and recreational alpine skiing opportunities for youth through the Mighty Mites, Devos, Freeride, Alpine X and Juniors programs from ages 6-20 plus a Masters race program.

About 90 skiers and snowboarders competed in the inaugural IFSA Junior National Freeride Competition at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood this week. The International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association event included groups of skiers age 12-14 and 15-18 competed. The Alyeska Freeride Team had a number of Top 10 finishes in all four categories.
Victoria Tostemar swept all four races to win the under-14 girls overall trophy in the Coca-Cola Classic held Friday and Saturday at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood. Austin Murphy claimed the U-14 boys title, Breslyn Gonzalez took top honors in the U-12 girls division and Levi Murphy earned the U-12 boys crown.
