Tanner Murphy earns top-10 finish at Junior World Championships
In just his first year of eligibility, Tanner Murphy of the Alyeska Ski Club placed sixth in the Ski Cross Junior World Championship in Veysonnaz, Switzerland.

Alyeska hosts inaugural IFSA Junior National Freeride Competition
About 90 skiers and snowboarders competed in the inaugural IFSA Junior National Freeride Competition at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood this week. The International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association event included groups of skiers age 12-14 and 15-18 competed. The Alyeska Freeride Team had a number of Top 10 finishes in all four categories.
Tostemar comes out on top among U-14 girls in Coca-Cola Classic alpine races in Girdwood
Victoria Tostemar swept all four races to win the under-14 girls overall trophy in the Coca-Cola Classic held Friday and Saturday at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood. Austin Murphy claimed the U-14 boys title, Breslyn Gonzalez took top honors in the U-12 girls division and Levi Murphy earned the U-12 boys crown.

Bob Eastaugh
Bob Eastaugh has photographed the ski club’s junior and FIS races for more than ten years. He will photograph some of the club’s races in 2023-24 on a reduced schedule, given the time and effort required to be on the hill and process thousands of digital files.
His photos have publicized the sport, the racers, and the club. They have been published in the Anchorage Daily News, Ski Racing Magazine (Media), the News-Miner, the Empire, the Race Place Catalogue (cover), and elsewhere. He has worked with the club in various capacities for more than 50 years.
