Henry Lemelson

Henry Lemelson is a U16 Alpine X Athlete studying at Goldenview Middle School as an 8th grader. Henry is motivated to ski for the feeling of landing a new trick or finishing a race. There are too many cool and exciting moments in skiing. He joined the council to have a word in what happens at the ski club and help out with ski events. His favorite sports figure is Marcel Hirscher.

Henry’s favorite motto is “there’s no such thing as too much snow.”

Cameron Miller

Cameron is a U16 Juniors athlete currently studying in Girdwood as an 8th grader. Cameron is motivated to ski because the more she skis the better she will get and the more she will accomplish it. She just loves it! She joined the council to make our ski club to have an impact on the decisions made for the ski club and hearing it from an athletes perspective. Her favorite sports figure is Lindsay Von.

Favorite motto, “YOLO.”

Freeride U15

Finley Nasenbeny

Finley Nasenbeny is a U15 Freeride athlete currently studying at West High School. Finley is motivated to ski for always wanting to improve upon her skills. She joined the council because she enjoys helping out around the club. Her favorite sports figures are Marcus Goguen, Hotdog Hans or Manon Loschi.

Finley’s favorite motto is “A bad day skiing is better than a good day at school.”

Gus Westerlund

Gus Westerlund is a U16 Juniors Athlete studying at Family Partnership Correspondence School as a Sophomore. His love for the sport of skiing motivates him to improve. Gus joined the Council to help improve the Ski Club from an athlete perspective and leave his mark on the future. His favorite Sports Figure is Bode Miller / Marco Odermatt.

Catherine Thomas

Catherine is a Devos athlete styling at Romig Middle School.  Catherine is motivated to ski because it’s something she can always improve at.  She loves the energy and freedom she feels on the slopes, and she enjoys challenging herself, learning new techniques and sharing the fun with her friends and teammates. Catherine joined the Ski Council because she likes getting involved with the ski community.  It’s fun to help plan events, work with others and make a difference in something that she cares about.  Her favorite sports figure is Jan Byron, her ski coach.

Freeride U19

Caroline Buddenberg

Caroline is a Freeride representative studying at South Anchorage High School.  Caroline is motivated to ski because she has always loved skiing and looks forward to it every time.  Unfortunately she won’t be skiing this year, but will be trying hard to get back next season after an injury.  She joined the Ski Council because she has been on the council the past few years and really enjoyed it so much, especially the people.  Caroline’s favorite sports figure is Matej Svancer.

Barrett Pelkola

Barrett is an Alpine X U18 Athlete styling 10th grade Homeschool.  He is motivated to ski because skiing competitively gives him something to strive for.  He joined the Ski Council to be an advocate for the RTC gym. His favorite sports figure is Ted Ligety.

Cameron (CJ) Taylor

Cameron (CJ) is a Juniors U18 Athlete studying at South Anchorage High School.  CJ is motivated to ski for having fun and getting to ski in cool places.  She joined the Ski Council to be a leader within the council.  Her favorite sports figure is Mikaela Shiffrin.

Cj’s favorite motto is ABFTTB (Always be faster than the boys)!

Gavin Connor

Gavin Connor is a Juniors U14 athlete studying at Girdwood Middle School.  Gavin is motivated to ski for racing and going fast.  He joined the Ski Council because he wanted to give back to the organization that he has skied with for so long.  His favorite sports figures are David Ortiz, Tom Brady and Mikeala Shiffrin.

Harper is motivated to ski because of her peers and the amazing community at the Alyeska Ski Club.  Harper joined the Ski Council because she wanted to help build the ASC and its community  Her favorite sports figure is Mikaela Shiffrin.

Jack MacDonald is an Alpine X U14 athlete studying at Goldenview Middle School.  Jack is motivated to ski for the adrenaline rush.  Jack joined the Ski Council to help the ski community and be more involved in ASC. His favorite sports figure is Alex Ferreira.

Alpine Juniors U16

Levi Murphy

Levi Murphy is a U16 Juniors Athlete studying at West High School.  Levi is motivated to ski for the adrenaline rush he gets from a race and skiing with friends on powder days. Levi joined the Ski Council because he’s been with ASC since he was in Mighty Mites so joining the council felt like a fun way for him to get involved, volunteer and help grow ASC grow. His favorite sports figure is Matej Svancer.
